Introduction
This project involves the complete renovation and transformation of a late 1890s Colonial home, blending historic charm with modern living. The clients envisioned a full-scale makeover that respects the home's original character while significantly enhancing its functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Exterior upgrades include all-new siding, windows, and landscaping, giving the home a refreshed and timeless curb appeal. Internally, the house underwent a full redesign, with a late-stage decision to expand off the right and rear elevations. This addition allowed for the creation of a dramatic double-height foyer, a functional mudroom, and a spacious primary suite. The redesigned interior also features an open-concept living area that seamlessly connects to the back deck, perfect for entertaining and everyday living.
Further enhancements include replacing the existing study with a dedicated sitting and entertaining area, offering ample space to accommodate modern lifestyles—all while preserving the integrity of the historic exterior shell.
